Following a competitive tender process, we were engaged under a lump sum contract to deliver Urbis’s fit out in the Olderfleet building at 477 Collins Street.
Designed in accordance with their new national workplace standards, the focal point of the fit out is the self-supporting curved staircase that wraps around the large Reception space.
Our team managed the void demolition and design & construction of the new stair carefully coordinating the architectural, services and structural disciplines while ensuring BCA requirements were met.
With multiple fit outs being delivered concurrently, combined with Mirvac delivering the base building, there were many challenges on site. A key to ensuring progress was maintained was proactively scheduling deliveries as well as constant daily communication with the loading dock ensuring the most efficient transportation of materials to site.
Despite the many challenges of delivering through Covid, strong communication and a collaborative team once again proved successful.
