Following a referral, Capabuild were engaged directly during design phase to deliver this landmark project for Ronald McDonald House, their newest short term accommodation facility.

Supporting this great organisation, the Capabuild team worked closely with the Landlord and owner of the building, the Vaccari family, and RMH through the design phase offering buildability advice in both the accommodation and community spaces.

Given the age of the building, there were concerns regarding the design and long-term viability of the bathroom spaces. To ensure this was addressed, Capabuild initiated a “prototype bathroom” to benchmark the design and quality expectations for the project which set the project up for success ensuring alignment of all project stakeholders.

Ensuring the Heritage elements of the building were not compromised, and the buildings integrity was always maintained, regular design meetings, prototypes and samples were undertaken on site.

Progress on site was maintained for all but 36 hours of the project when Scott Cam and the Channel 9 Block team rolled in to film an episode of the top rating reality TV show.

We were only too happy to happy to accommodate their request… and leave a few of our Capabuild signs up in the background!
