Holmesglen Library

Having completed several smaller projects for Holmesglen, Capabuild were delighted to be referred onto the project and work with the team again to deliver this exciting new Library space, aimed at providing a modern and collaborative space for students to learn.

Located in the heart of the Executive Area, the project presented many challenges of working in an occupied building and live environment. To manage this, noisy works were scheduled to occur out of hours and large deliveries occurred early in the morning.

The centrepiece of the design was the multistorey Pavilion space, incorporating structure and feature finishes, the details of which were resolved and coordinated through an extensive workshopping process.

As a value add to the Holmesglen students, Capabuild conducted a series of coordinated visits and information sessions throughout the project, to provide students with real life exposure to a live construction project. Throughout, we covered topics such as Project Management, Programme Management, Carpentry & Joinery shop drawings, Occupational Health & Safety & process.
