Deakin University ITS (Stage 1 & 2)

Capabuild extended its long-standing relationship with Deakin University when appointed on the multi-staged ITS refurbishment project.

The works involved the extensive refurbishment of research and teaching labs in multiple buildings across the campus, including and extension to an existing building and several teaching labs completed to PC2 standard.

Heavily staged, working in occupied buildings and around live teaching environments, strong communication and the allocation of multiple site supervisors was key to success on this project. Communicating daily with the Facilities team, isolation requirements and their impact were submitted on time to maintain progress on site.

Extensive structural and services coordination was required throughout and close collaboration with the Deakin teaching faculty ensured functionality requirements were met.
